| Short bio | Jiaen is a masters student at the School of Design, Southern University of Science and Technology, Industrial Design Engineering. She has a background in architecture and her experience working in architectural design studio has given her extensive experience in parametric facade design. She is also interested in other areas of the design discipline. She is transitioning to industrial design and intends to practice design while using the knowledge of architecture and modeling skills that she has learned in the field of architectural design. In her current project, Jiaen aims to design an innovative general-purpose hardware. The anticipated design outcome will be a digitally manufactured, fully functional, and realistic HCI prototype alongside a record of design development studies in the form of both sketches and working models. |
