Xue Chao is a postgraduate industrial design engineering student at the School of Design of Southern University of Science and Technology. He has a background in automation. In his previous research, Xue Chao designed a line-start surface-mounted and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor. Xue Chao's present research field is the analog computing. He is designing a hybrid controller for the analog computer THE ANALOG THING. This controller will allow harnessing the advantages of analog and digital computing. It aims to promote the concepts of analog and analog/digital hybrid computing to wider groups of users.
